Let Us Meet Now (2019)

Let Us Meet Now (Korean: 우리 지금 만나) is a 2019 South Korean omnibus film consisting of three short segments directed by Kim Seo-Yoon, Kang Yi-Kwan, and Boo Ji-Young. The film explores themes of human connection, often set against the backdrop of the complex relationship between South and North Korea.

Segments

Mr. Driver

Directed by Kim Seo-Yoon, this segment follows Sung-Min, a delivery driver who transports supplies to the Kaesong Industrial Complex, a joint economic zone located north of the DMZ. During his routine visits, he develops an interest in Sook-Hee, a North Korean employee, after they bond over a shared interest in music.

Can We Live Well?

Directed by Kang Yi-Kwan, this story focuses on the relationship between long-term partners Jae-Beom and Hyun-Chae. The narrative examines the pressures and frequent conflicts they face as they navigate the prospect of marriage.

Hello

Directed by Boo Ji-Young, this segment centers on Jung-Eun, who is the primary caregiver for her mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. The plot is set in motion when Jung-Eun receives a misdialed phone call from a woman in North Korea, leading to an unexpected request.
