Legal High (2019 South Korean TV Series)

Legal High is a South Korean television drama series that aired on the cable network JTBC in 2019. The series, which consists of 16 episodes, was broadcast on Friday and Saturday nights at 23:00. It is a remake of the 2012 Japanese television series of the same name produced by Fuji TV.

Plot

The story focuses on the professional relationship between two lawyers with opposing approaches to their practice. Go Tae-Rim (played by Jin Goo) is a highly skilled but arrogant attorney known for his 100% winning rate and exorbitant fees. He prioritizes victory above all else. In contrast, Seo Jae-In (played by Seo Eun-Su) is a passionate rookie lawyer who is dedicated to helping clients in difficult situations. After realizing that legal idealism alone is often insufficient, she decides to collaborate with Go Tae-Rim to navigate the complexities of the legal system.

Production

The drama was directed by Kim Jung-Hyun and written by Park Sung-Jin. The first script reading for the production took place in December 2018 at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul. The series premiered on February 8, 2019, taking over the time slot previously held by SKY Castle, and concluded on March 30, 2019, before being followed by Beautiful World.
