Legal High 2
Legal High 2 is a Japanese television drama series that aired on Fuji TV from October 9 to December 18, 2013. It serves as the direct sequel to the 2012 series Legal High. The show continues the story of the eccentric and highly successful defense attorney Kensuke Komikado, played by Masato Sakai, and his earnest colleague Machiko Mayuzumi, portrayed by Yui Aragaki.

Plot
The series introduces Haruki Hanyu, played by Masaki Okada, a former prosecutor who transitions into private practice by opening his own firm, NEXUS. Hanyu represents a philosophical challenge to Komikado; while Komikado is driven by the belief that winning is the only metric of success, Hanyu advocates for legal resolutions that foster mutual understanding between plaintiffs and defendants. This ideological clash, combined with Hanyu's complex personal history with Mayuzumi, drives the narrative conflict throughout the season.
Production
The series was written by Ryota Kosawa and directed by Junichi Ishikawa. It maintained the satirical tone and legal comedy elements established in the first season. The show aired in the Wednesday 22:00 time slot on Fuji TV.
