Lee Hye-ri: South Korean Actress and Singer
Lee Hye-ri (born June 9, 1994), commonly known mononymously as Hyeri, is a South Korean singer and actress. She initially gained widespread recognition as a member of the K-pop girl group Girl's Day before transitioning into a prominent career in television and film acting.
Early Music Career
Hyeri entered the entertainment industry as a member of Girl's Day, a K-pop girl group formed by Dream Tea Entertainment. As a member of the group, she participated in various musical releases and promotional activities before shifting her primary focus toward acting.
Acting Career
Hyeri transitioned into television and film acting, taking on a wide range of roles across various networks. Her breakthrough acting role came in the acclaimed television drama Reply 1988 (tvN, 2015–2016), in which she portrayed the lead character Sung Duk-Sun. Her performance earned her significant industry recognition, including the Best New Actress award at the 5th APAN Star Awards in 2016 and the Popular Actress Award at the tvN10 Awards.
Following her success in Reply 1988, she took on leading roles in numerous television series, including Entertainer (SBS, 2016), Two Cops (MBC, 2017–2018), Miss Lee (tvN, 2019), My Roommate Is A Gumiho (tvN, 2021), Moonshine (KBS2, 2021–2022), and May I Help You (MBC, 2022).
