Land of Happiness (2018 Film)

Land of Happiness (Korean: 행복의 나라; RR: Haengbokui Nara) is a 2018 South Korean drama film directed and written by Jung Min-Kyu. The film premiered at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BiFan) on July 14, 2018, before its general release in South Korea on July 19, 2018.

Plot

The narrative centers on Min-Soo (played by Ji Yong-Suk), who visits the home of Hee-Ja (Ye Soo-Jung). The film explores the aftermath of a tragic event that occurred eight years prior, when Hee-Ja's son lost his life while attempting to save Min-Soo, who had jumped onto subway tracks in a suicide attempt.

The film features an ensemble cast portraying the interconnected lives of the characters affected by the past tragedy.
