The series consists of eight standalone episodes, each drawing inspiration from traditional Korean myths, legends, and folk tales. The 2008 production served as a revival of the long-running franchise, which originally began broadcasting in 1997.

It occupied the time slot previously held by the drama Sisters in Love and was succeeded by The Land of the Wind on September 10, 2008.
