Koala (2013 Film)

Koala is a 2013 South Korean drama film written and directed by Kim Joo-Hwan. The film explores the struggles of entrepreneurship and the pursuit of personal dreams within the competitive food industry.

Plot

The story follows two protagonists: Dong-Bin (Park Young-Seo), who leaves his steady job to pursue business ownership, and Jong-Ik (Song Yoo-Ha), an aspiring actor who has faced repeated rejection in over 200 auditions. The two decide to collaborate and open a restaurant named "Burger Boy." They hire a part-time employee, Woo-Ri (Park Jin-Joo), to assist with operations.

Despite their initial optimism, the partners encounter a series of mounting obstacles, including a lack of customers, rising supply costs, menu failures, and the looming threat of financial ruin and business seizure.
