Kkangchi (2016 Film)

Kkangchi (Korean: 깡치) is a South Korean drama film released on September 8, 2016. The film was directed by Jeon Pil-Jin and distributed by Boxoo Entertainment. It has a runtime of 100 minutes.

Plot

The story follows Hyung-Soo, a high school student living in a small fishing town. Hyung-Soo is a member of his school's judo team, a pursuit he initially chose as a way to distance himself from his alcoholic father. However, complications arising from his father's situation eventually lead Hyung-Soo to quit the team. The narrative focuses on his efforts to navigate high school life and his interactions with a new group of peers.
