Kim Moo-Yul

Kim Moo-Yul (born May 22, 1982) is a South Korean actor known for his extensive work in film, television, and theater. He graduated from Sungkyunkwan University.

Career and Notable Works

Kim has built a diverse filmography spanning action, thriller, and drama genres. Some of his prominent feature films include War of the Arrows (2011), Northern Limit Line (2015), The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil (2019), The Roundup: Punishment (2024), and Ballerina (2023). In addition to his film projects, he has appeared in numerous television drama series, such as Bad Guys: Vile City (2017–2018), Juvenile Justice (2022), Trolley (2022), and Sweet Home (2023–2024).

Personal Life and Military Service

Kim married actress Yoon Seung-Ah on April 4, 2015, in a ceremony held in the suburbs of Seoul.

In 2010, Kim received a military service exemption due to family hardship stemming from his father's hospitalization and substantial household debt. Following public scrutiny regarding the exemption in 2012, Kim volunteered to enlist, entering active military service on October 9, 2012, and completing his service on July 8, 2014.
