Kim Hyun-Joo: South Korean Actress and Television Star

Kim Hyun-Joo (born April 24, 1977) is a prominent South Korean actress known for her extensive body of work in television dramas and feature films. She studied performing arts at Dankook University and launched her acting career in the late 1990s.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Born in South Korea, Kim pursued formal training in the performing arts at Dankook University. She made her official film debut in the 1998 movie If It Snows on Christmas. Throughout the late 1990s and 2000s, she transitioned into television series, gaining recognition in various broadcasting networks across South Korea.

Film and Television Work

Over a career spanning more than two decades, Kim has starred in numerous television dramas and films across multiple genres. Notable television series include her roles in Glass Slippers (2002), Boys Over Flowers (2009), Twinkle Twinkle (2011), and What Happens to My Family? (2014). In recent years, she has taken on prominent roles in streaming projects, portraying Min Hey-Jin in the Netflix series Hellbound (2021) and its subsequent second season in 2024, as well as starring in the Yeon Sang-ho science fiction film Jung_E (2023).
