Killed My Wife (2019 Film)

Killed My Wife (Korean: 아내를 죽였다; RR: Anaereul Jukyessda) is a 2019 South Korean thriller film directed by Kim Ha-Ra. The film is based on the webcomic Anaereul Jukeossda by author Hee Na-Ri, which was originally published by Daum Webtoon Company.

Plot

The story follows Chae Jung-Ho (played by Lee Si-Un), who wakes up to find police officers at his residence. He is informed that his estranged wife, Jung Mi-Young (Wang Ji-Hye), has been murdered. As the primary suspect in the investigation, Jung-Ho struggles to recall the events of the previous night, leading him on a desperate search to uncover the truth about his wife's death and his own potential involvement.

Production

The film was directed by Kim Ha-Ra, who also contributed to the screenplay based on the source material. Principal photography for the project commenced in February 2019. The film held its world premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival on October 29, 2019, before its theatrical release in South Korea on December 11, 2019.
