Kenji Sakaguchi

Kenji Sakaguchi (born November 8, 1975) is a Japanese actor and television personality. Born in Tokyo, Japan, he has maintained a career in the Japanese entertainment industry spanning over two decades, appearing in numerous television dramas and feature films.

Career

Sakaguchi gained significant recognition for his portrayal of the lead character, Ryutaro Asada, in the medical drama series Iryu: Team Medical Dragon, which aired its first season in 2006 and continued through multiple sequels. He is also well-known for his role as Shinpei Nagakura in the Second To Last Love (Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi) drama franchise, which began in 2012.

Throughout his career, Sakaguchi has appeared in a wide variety of television productions and films, including Ikebukuro West Gate Park (2000), Pride (2004), and the Kyojo series (2023, 2026). His filmography includes roles in Memories of Tomorrow (2006) and Catch a Wave (2006).
