Keiji to Kenji, Tokidoki Hanji (Japanese: ケイジとケンジ、時々ハンジ) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on TV Asahi in 2023. The series serves as a follow-up to the 2020 drama Police and Prosecutor (Keiji to Kenji: Shokatsu to Chiken no 24ji).

Plot

The story centers on Gota Nakaido, a detective stationed at the Minatomirai Police Station in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Before joining the police force, Nakaido spent eight years working as a high school physical education teacher. He transitioned into law enforcement driven by a desire to confront individuals who lead students astray. While Nakaido is dedicated to apprehending criminals and finds personal fulfillment in the gratitude of victims, he often struggles with the academic demands required for career advancement.

Production and Broadcast

The series was broadcast on TV Asahi's Thursday 21:00 time slot. It premiered on April 13, 2023, and concluded its nine-episode run on June 8, 2023. It followed the series Outsider Cops and was succeeded by Hayabusa Fire Brigade.
