Kazunari Ninomiya: Japanese Actor and Singer

Kazunari Ninomiya (born June 17, 1983) is a prominent Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer. Hailing from Katsushika Ward, Tokyo, Japan, he is widely recognized as a member of the long-running Japanese idol group Arashi.

Career and Major Works

Ninomiya has maintained a prolific career in both television dramas and feature films. Internationally, he gained significant recognition for his role as Saigo in Clint Eastwood's Academy Award-nominated war film Letters from Iwo Jima (2006). Within Japanese cinema and television, his notable film credits include Gantz (2011), Assassination Classroom (2015), Nagasaki: Memories of My Son (2015), and Asadake! (2020).

In television, Ninomiya has starred in numerous prominent drama series and television films across Japanese networks, including Black Forceps (Black Pean, 2018; Season 2, 2024), My Family (2022), and Vivant (2023, 2026).

Awards and Recognition

Among his numerous professional accolades, Ninomiya received the Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role award at the 39th Japan Academy Prize on March 4, 2016, for his performance in Nagasaki: Memories of My Son.
