Kang Tae-Oh

Kang Tae-Oh (born Kim Yoon-Hwan on June 20, 1994) is a South Korean actor and performer. He gained recognition as a member of the actor-idol group 5urprise, which was formed by the talent agency Fantagio. Throughout his career, he has appeared in numerous television dramas and film projects.

Career

Kang began his career in the entertainment industry as part of the group 5urprise. He transitioned into acting with roles in various television series, including Miss Korea (2013) and Flower of the Queen (2015). His performance in the 2019 KBS drama The Tale of Nokdu earned him the Best New Actor award at the 2019 KBS Drama Awards.

He achieved broader international attention for his role as Lee Jun-Ho in the 2022 Netflix-distributed series Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Other notable television appearances include Run On (2020), Doom at Your Service (2021), and the 2025 series Moon River, for which he received recognition at the 2025 MBC Drama Awards.

Military Service

In accordance with South Korean law, Kang Tae-Oh fulfilled his mandatory military service. He enlisted on September 20, 2022, and completed his service on March 19, 2024.
