Kakekomi: Chronicles of the Tokei-ji
Kakekomi (Japanese: 駆込み女と駆出し男, Kakekomi Onna to Kakedashi Otoko) is a 2015 Japanese historical drama film directed by Masato Harada. The film is based on the novel Tokeiji Hanadayori by Hisashi Inoue, which was published in 2011 by Bungeishunjū Ltd.

Plot
Set during the Edo period, the narrative focuses on Tokei-ji, a Buddhist temple in Kamakura historically known for providing refuge to women seeking to escape abusive marriages. The story unfolds against a backdrop of economic hardship caused by government thrift ordinances. Nobujiro Nakamura (played by Yo Oizumi), a doctor with aspirations of becoming a writer, resides at the temple's lodging facility. He assists the women seeking sanctuary, including Jogo (Erika Toda) and a concubine named Ogin (Hikari Mitsushima), as they navigate the process of obtaining a divorce and starting new lives.
