Kakegurui: The Movie (Japanese: 映画 賭ケグルイ, Romaji: Eiga Kakegurui) is a 2019 Japanese live-action film directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa. The film is based on the manga series Kakegurui, written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura, which began serialization in 2014 in the magazine Gekkan Gangan Joker.

Plot
The story is set at Hyakkaou Private Academy, a prestigious institution for the children of Japan's elite. The academy operates under a unique social hierarchy determined by gambling prowess. Students who win bets gain status and influence, while those who lose are relegated to a subservient class. The narrative centers on the arrival of Yumeko Jabami, a transfer student who possesses an intense obsession with high-stakes gambling, disrupting the established order of the school.

The film was produced by Yanghwe Yoon and Yuichi Shibahara, with a screenplay written by Minato Takano and Tsutomu Hanabusa. It was distributed by Gaga Corporation and released in Japan on May 3, 2019. The film has a runtime of 119 minutes. The theme song for the production is titled “Ichi Ka Bachi Ka,” performed by the J-pop-metal group PassCode.
