Jyuui san, Jiken Desu yo

Jyuui san, Jiken Desu yo (Japanese: 獣医さん、事件ですよ, literally Veterinarian, It Is an Incident) is a Japanese television drama series that aired in 2014. The series follows the life of Kentaro Shiba, a veterinarian operating a clinic in Tokyo, and his interactions with the pet owners who visit his practice.

Plot

Kentaro Shiba, portrayed by Takanori Jinnai, is a warmhearted and emotionally expressive veterinarian. He lives with his adopted daughter, Hinako. Beyond his professional duties, Kentaro is known for his tendency to meddle in the personal lives and problems of his clients. His character is often depicted as being easily moved to tears and frequently developing romantic interests in the female owners of the pets he treats.

Production

The drama was directed by Tatsuya Ikezawa and Hiroyuki Muramatsu, with scripts written by Mitsuru Tanabe, Nonji Nemoto, and Toshiya Ito. It was broadcast on NTV and YTV, running for 12 episodes between July 3 and September 18, 2014, in the Thursday 23:59–24:54 time slot.
