Plot
The story centers on the lives of four childhood friends: Jang Choon-bok, Moon Sang-yub, Kim Joon-tae, and the late Jae-ho. In their youth, Yoon In-sook was a central figure in their social circle, eventually becoming involved with Jae-ho. Following Jae-ho's death in an accident while In-sook was pregnant with his son, Choon-bok persuaded In-sook to marry him, a decision that sparked rumors and tension among their peers.
Years later, Choon-bok has achieved financial success and maintains a stable family life with In-sook. They raise two children alongside their son, Jang Hae-joon, who works as a prosecutor. The family's peace is challenged when Choon-bok discovers that his son, Ji-wan, and Sang-yub's daughter, Hee-joo, are in a romantic relationship, a union that Choon-bok and In-sook strongly oppose.
