Jun Ji-hyun

Jun Ji-hyun (born October 30, 1981), also known by her English name Gianna Jun, is a prominent South Korean actress. Born Wang Ji-hyun in Seoul, she has established a career spanning several decades, gaining recognition both within South Korea and internationally for her performances in film and television.

Career

Jun rose to prominence in the early 2000s, most notably for her lead role in the 2001 romantic comedy My Sassy Girl, which became a significant commercial success in South Korea and across Asia. Her filmography includes a variety of genres, ranging from action-thrillers like The Thieves (2012) and Assassination (2015) to international productions such as Blood: The Last Vampire (2008) and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan (2011).

In television, she has starred in several high-profile drama series, including My Love from the Star (2013–2014), The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016–2017), and Jirisan (2021). She also appeared in the Netflix series Kingdom and its spin-off feature Kingdom: Ashin of the North (2021).

Personal Life

Jun Ji-hyun married businessman Choi Joon-hyuk on April 13, 2012. The wedding ceremony was held at The Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Seoul. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, on February 10, 2016.
