Jugglers (South Korean TV Series)
Jugglers (Korean: 저글러스; RR: Jeogeulreosu) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from December 4, 2017, to January 23, 2018. The series, which consists of 16 episodes, was broadcast in the Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot.
Plot
The story follows Jwa Yoon-Yi (Baek Jin-Hee), a dedicated secretary with five years of experience who manages an online community for fellow secretaries. Her professional life is upended when she is falsely accused of having an affair with her boss. While the scandal spreads, her boss fails to clear her name, leading to her being placed on a waiting list for a new position.
Nam Chi-Won (Daniel Choi) is a managing director at YB Ad who prefers to work without a secretary and maintains a distance from others due to childhood trauma involving a fire. When Yoon-Yi is assigned as his secretary, he initially rejects her assistance. However, after discovering that Yoon-Yi lives in the same house where his childhood trauma occurred, Chi-Won decides to rent a room there, bringing the two into closer proximity.
Production
The series was directed by Kim Jung-Hyun and written by Jo Yong. The first script reading was held on October 26, 2017, at the Largo Ville Resort in Incheon, South Korea. Jugglers marked the first acting role for Daniel Choi following his discharge from military service on September 29, 2017. The role of Nam Chi-Won was initially offered to Yun Kyun-Sang, who declined.
The series occupied the KBS2 Monday and Tuesday time slot following the conclusion of Witch at Court and was succeeded by Radio Romance. Actor Yoo Ji-Tae made a cameo appearance in the ninth episode, reprising his role as Choi Kang-Woo from the drama Mad Dog.
