Joseon Survival
Joseon Survival (Korean: 조선생존기) is a South Korean television series that aired on TV Chosun from June 8 to August 17, 2019. The drama, which spans 16 episodes, explores the genre of time travel, following a former national archer who finds himself transported to the Joseon Dynasty.

Plot
The story centers on Han Jung-Rok, a former top-tier national archer who struggles to make ends meet as a delivery worker in the present day. His life is further complicated by his reunion with his former love, Lee Hye-Jin, who now works as a medical resident. Following a dramatic event, Han Jung-Rok is transported back in time to the year 1562. During this era, he encounters the historical figure Im Kkeok-Jeong, a butcher who belongs to the lowest social class of the Joseon period. Together, the two men navigate the challenges of their respective environments.
Production and Casting Changes
The production of Joseon Survival faced significant disruption during its broadcast run. On July 9, 2019, the original lead actor, Kang Ji-Hwan, was arrested on charges of sexual assault and molestation. Following the arrest, the production company, Huayi Brothers, announced on July 11, 2019, that Kang would be removed from the series. Actor Seo Ji-Suk was subsequently cast to take over the role of Han Jung-Rok for the remaining episodes, specifically from episode 11 through 16.
