Joseon Mystery Detective: Jeong Yak-yong (Korean: 조선추리활극 정약용) is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network OCN from November 27, 2009, to January 15, 2010. The series consists of eight episodes and blends historical elements with the mystery and detective genres.

Plot

The series follows a fictionalized version of the historical figure Jeong Yak-yong, portrayed by Park Jae-jung. In the narrative, Jeong is a secret royal inspector trusted by King Jeongjo. Following his involvement in a case concerning the spread of Western learning, he faces political backlash and is demoted to a low-ranking government position as a chalbang (a local transport official) in the Geumjeong area. Despite his expectations of a quiet life, he finds himself investigating various criminal cases that occur within his jurisdiction.
