Josee (2020 South Korean Film)

Josee is a 2020 South Korean romantic drama film directed and written by Kim Jong-Kwan. The film is a remake of the 2003 Japanese movie Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, which was originally based on a short story by Seiko Tanabe.

Plot

The film follows the relationship between Josee, a woman with a physical disability who lives a secluded life in her own world, and Young-Seok, a university student who enters her life. The narrative explores the emotional connection and the challenges they face as they navigate their growing bond.

Production and Cast

The film was produced by Lee Joon-Sang and distributed by Warner Bros. Korea. The cinematography was handled by Jo Young-Jik. The film features Han Ji-Min in the title role of Josee and Nam Joo-Hyuk as Young-Seok. This project marked a reunion for the two lead actors, who previously starred together in the 2019 JTBC drama series The Light in Your Eyes.
