Jirisan (Television Series)

Jirisan is a South Korean television series that premiered on tvN on October 23, 2021, and concluded on December 12, 2021. The series follows the professional and personal lives of rangers tasked with search and rescue operations within Jiri Mountain National Park.

Production

The series was directed by Lee Eung-Bok and written by Kim Eun-Hee. Principal photography for the production commenced in September 2020. During the production phase, filming was temporarily suspended from early December 2020 until December 20, 2020, in response to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in South Korea at that time.

Plot

The narrative centers on the rangers of Jiri Mountain National Park. Seo Yi-Gang, portrayed by Gianna Jun, is an experienced ranger with extensive knowledge of the park's terrain. She is joined by Kang Hyun-Jo, played by Ju Ji-Hoon, a rookie ranger and former army captain who harbors a significant secret.
