Jin Goo (South Korean Actor)

Jin Goo (born July 20, 1980) is a South Korean actor known for his versatile roles in both television dramas and feature films. Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, he attended Kyungdong High School and later graduated from Sahmyook University.

Career and Filmography

Jin Goo made his acting debut in television drama, notably appearing as the young counterpart of the lead character in the 2003 SBS series All In. Throughout his career, he has built a diverse filmography spanning action, historical drama, and thrillers.

His breakthrough supporting performance came in Bong Joon-ho's critically acclaimed 2009 drama film Mother, in which he portrayed Jin-tae. The role earned him widespread critical recognition and multiple Best Supporting Actor accolades, including honors at the 30th Blue Dragon Film Awards and the 46th Daejong Film Awards.

In 2016, Jin gained international prominence for his portrayal of Master Sergeant Seo Dae-young in the hit military romance television series Descendants of the Sun broadcast on KBS2. The role cemented his status as a prominent television star and earned him accolades such as Best Supporting Actor at the 5th APAN Star Awards and the Best Couple Award at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards.
