Jib Iyagi (Korean: 집 이야기), released internationally as I Am Home, is a 2019 South Korean drama film directed by Park Je-Bum. The film focuses on the emotional dynamics between a father and his daughter as they navigate the challenges of reconnecting after a period of separation.

Plot

The story follows Eun-Seo, a newspaper editor living independently in Seoul. Her father, Jin-Cheol, resides in Incheon, where he works as a locksmith. Following the departure of his wife years prior, Jin-Cheol has lived alone. When Eun-Seo faces a housing transition, she temporarily moves back into her childhood home. The narrative explores the awkwardness and eventual reconciliation that occurs as the two adjust to living under the same roof again.

Production and Release

The film was written by Yoon Sang-Sook and produced by Song Sung-won, with cinematography by Shin Dong-Hun. It held its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival on October 4, 2019, and was subsequently released in South Korean theaters on November 28, 2019, by distributor CGV Arthouse. The film has a runtime of 92 minutes.
