Jeong DoJeon is a South Korean historical television series that aired on the KBS1 network in 2014. The drama focuses on the life and political career of the historical figure Jeong Do-jeon, a pivotal scholar and advisor who played a fundamental role in the transition from the Goryeo Dynasty to the establishment of the Joseon Dynasty.

Production and Broadcast
The series was directed by Kang Byung-taek and Lee Jae-hoon, with a screenplay written by Jung Hyun-min. It consisted of 50 episodes and was broadcast on KBS1 every Saturday and Sunday at 21:40. The series premiered on January 4, 2014, and concluded on June 29, 2014. It occupied the time slot previously held by King's Dream and was succeeded by The Jingbirok: A Memoir of Imjin War in 2015.
Plot
The narrative is set during the late Goryeo and early Joseon periods. It depicts the efforts of the scholar Jeong Do-jeon to reform the state and establish a new cultural and political foundation for the Joseon Dynasty. As a close advisor to King Taejo (Lee Seong-gye), Jeong faces significant opposition from those loyal to the existing Goryeo order, highlighting the complex power struggles of the era.
