Janchitnal (Korean: 잔칫날) is a 2020 South Korean drama film written and directed by Kim Rok-Kyeong. The film explores themes of grief, familial duty, and financial desperation within the context of traditional funeral customs.

Plot
The story follows Kyeong-Man, played by Ha-Joon, an aspiring master of ceremonies who struggles to make ends meet. Alongside his younger sister, Kyeong-Mi (So Ju-Yeon), he cares for their ailing father. When their father passes away, the siblings face the daunting challenge of covering the funeral expenses. In a desperate attempt to secure the necessary funds, Kyeong-Man accepts a job as an MC at a countryside birthday celebration for an elderly woman. While there, he is pressured by the client, Il-Sik (Jung In-Gi), to ensure the celebration remains joyous, creating a poignant contrast between his professional duties and his personal mourning.
