Iron Family
Iron Family (Korean: 다리미 패밀리) is a South Korean television series that aired on the KBS2 network. The drama centers on the family behind Cheongryeom Laundry, a business that has been operated by the same family for three generations. The narrative follows the family members as they navigate personal challenges and strive to build a better future.
Plot
The story focuses on Lee Da-Rim, portrayed by Keum Sae-Rok, whose family manages Cheongryeom Laundry. Lee Da-Rim has faced significant health challenges, having suffered from deteriorating eyesight since her teenage years. By the time she reaches the age of 30, she experiences total vision loss. However, the plot introduces the possibility of a recovery through a high-cost medical procedure.
The series also features Seo Kang-Joo, played by Kim Jung-Hyun, a senior director at the Jiseung Group and the son of a wealthy family in the Cheongryeom neighborhood. The two characters share a history, having attended the same university eight years prior to the events of the series, where they shared a significant experience before Seo Kang-Joo's military enlistment. Their reunion serves as a central point for the drama's development.

Iron Family was directed by Sung Joon-Hae and written by Seo Sook-Hyang. The series consists of 36 episodes and was broadcast on KBS2 during the Saturday and Sunday 19:55 time slot. It premiered on September 28, 2024, and concluded on January 26, 2025. It succeeded the series Beauty and Mr. Romantic in its time slot and was followed by For Eagle Brothers.
