Inspector Koo (Korean: 구경이; RR: Kookyungyi) is a South Korean television series that aired on JTBC from October 30 to December 12, 2021. The series, which consists of 12 episodes, follows the story of a former police officer who transitions into a career as an insurance investigator and private detective.
Plot
The narrative centers on Koo Kyung-Yi, a woman in her 40s portrayed by Lee Young-Ae. Utilizing her sharp intellect and keen intuition, she navigates the complexities of her investigative work. The primary conflict involves her pursuit of a serial killer, who is revealed to be a female university student.
Production
The series was directed by Lee Jung-Heum and written by Sungchoyi. The initial script reading for the cast took place in May 2021. The show occupied the Saturday and Sunday 22:30 time slot on JTBC, following the conclusion of the drama Lost and preceding Snowdrop.
During its broadcast, the schedule for episodes 9 and 10 was adjusted. Originally slated for November 27–28, 2021, they were postponed to December 4–5, 2021. In their place, JTBC aired highlights from the first eight episodes.
