In the Clear Moonlit Dusk (Japanese: うるわしの宵の月, Romaji: Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki) is an upcoming Japanese feature film directed by Kentaro Takemura and scheduled for release on October 23, 2026. The production is distributed by Toho and is based on the manga series of the same name by Mika Yamamori.

Plot Synopsis

The story follows Yoi Takiguchi, a first-grade high school student portrayed by Seira Anzai. Due to her striking appearance and intelligent demeanor, she is popularly referred to as a "Prince" by her peers, though she holds complex feelings regarding this idealized persona. Her perspective begins to shift after an encounter with Kohaku Ichimura, a second-grade male student played by Shunsuke Michieda, who is also known at school as a Prince and unexpectedly tells her that she is incredibly beautiful.

Production Background

The film is adapted from Mika Yamamori's manga series Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki, which was first published on July 21, 2020, in the manga magazine Dessert. The screenplay is written by Yuichi Tokunaga, and the project is slated for theatrical distribution in Japan by Toho.
