Idol (2019 South Korean Film)
Idol (Korean: 우상; RR: Woosang) is a 2019 South Korean thriller film written and directed by Lee Su-Jin. The film explores the lives of three individuals whose paths intersect following a fatal hit-and-run accident.

Plot
The story centers on Koo Myung-Hui (Han Suk-Kyu), a politician whose career is jeopardized when his son is involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident. Yoo Joong-Sik (Sul Kyung-Gu), the father of the victim, seeks justice for his son's death. The narrative is further complicated by the disappearance of Ryun-Hwa (Chun Woo-Hee), who was present at the scene of the accident.
Production
The film was directed and written by Lee Su-Jin. Principal photography commenced on October 24, 2017, and concluded on April 9, 2018. The film was distributed by CGV Arthouse.



Release and Reception
Idol was released in South Korea on March 20, 2019. The film was invited to the 69th Berlin International Film Festival, where it screened in the Panorama section in February 2019.
