I Have Not Done My Best Yet

I Have Not Done My Best Yet (Korean: 아직 최선을 다하지 않았을 뿐) is a 2022 South Korean television series directed by Im Tae-Woo. The drama, which consists of 12 episodes, explores the life of a man in his 40s who undergoes a significant career transition. The series was released on the streaming platform TVING starting February 18, 2022, and later aired on the cable network tvN from June 18 to July 30, 2022.

Background

The series is based on the Japanese manga series Ore Wa Mada Honki Dashitenai Dake, written and illustrated by Shunju Aono. The original manga was serialized in the magazine Monthly Ikki from January 2007 to June 2012. The story was previously adapted into a 2013 Japanese film titled I'll Give It My All ... Tomorrow.

Plot

The narrative centers on Nam Geum-Pil, a man in his 40s living with his father and daughter. After abruptly quitting his job, Geum-Pil faces criticism from his family, yet he remains indifferent to their concerns. His life takes a turn when he encounters a neighbor who appears to be unemployed but is actually a successful webcomic writer. Inspired by this discovery, Geum-Pil decides to pursue a new career path as a comic writer.
