I Am Father (2011 Film)
I Am Father (Korean: 나는 아빠다; RR: Naneun Abbada) is a 2011 South Korean crime drama film directed by Jeon Man-Bae and Lee Se-Young. The film explores themes of morality, corruption, and parental desperation within the criminal underworld.

Plot
Han Jong-Sik (Kim Seung-Woo) is a corrupt police officer who engages in illegal activities to fund medical treatment for his ailing daughter, Min-Ji (Kim Sae-Ron). His desperation leads him to frame innocent individuals and collaborate with criminal organizations. The conflict intensifies when an organ donor match is found for Min-Ji, but the donor's guardian is Na Sang-Man (Son Byung-Ho), a man previously imprisoned due to a false accusation orchestrated by Jong-Sik. As Detective Kim (Lim Ha-Ryong) begins to uncover the truth behind Sang-Man's case, Jong-Sik attempts to eliminate the threat, leading to a confrontation that culminates in the kidnapping of Min-Ji.
Production
The film was produced by Kang Moon-Suk and Park Kang-Mi, with a screenplay written by Yoon Hyun-Ho. Principal photography commenced on October 22, 2010. During its development phase, the project was known by the working title Nomui Yeokseup, which translates literally to His Counterattack. The film was distributed by Lotte Entertainment and released in South Korea on April 14, 2011.
