Hyde Jekyll, Me
Hyde Jekyll, Me is a South Korean television series that aired on SBS from January 21 to March 26, 2015. The drama, which consists of 20 episodes, was broadcast in the Wednesday and Thursday 21:55 time slot. It is based on the webcomic Jekyllbaksaneun Haideussi by Lee Choong-Ho, which was published on the Daum Webtoon platform between February 15 and November 25, 2011.
Plot
The story follows Koo Seo-Jin, played by Hyun-Bin, a man who lives with two distinct personalities. One personality is cold and detached, while the other is sweet and gentle. Seo-Jin serves as the director of a theme park called Wonderland. The plot centers on his conflict with Jang Ha-Na, portrayed by Han Ji-Min, who manages and performs in the park's circus. When Seo-Jin attempts to remove the circus from the park, Ha-Na fights to keep it, leading to a complex relationship as she becomes involved with his dual personas.
Production
The series was directed by Jo Young-Gwang and Park Shin-Woo, with a screenplay by Kim Ji-Woon. The project's first script reading occurred on December 2, 2014, at the SBS Production Center in Ilsan, South Korea. Principal photography commenced on December 13, 2014. During development, the production briefly considered the working title Jikilgwa Na (literally Jekyll and Me) before settling on Haideu Jikil, Na (Hyde Jekyll, Me).
