Hwangsanbul (Korean: 황산벌) is a 2003 South Korean historical comedy-drama film directed by Lee Joon-ik. The film offers a satirical take on the historical Battle of Hwangsanbul, a pivotal conflict in the 7th century that occurred during the Three Kingdoms period of Korea.

Plot
Set in the 7th century, the narrative follows the geopolitical tensions between the kingdoms of Shilla, Baekje, and Goguryeo. As the kingdom of Shilla seeks to strengthen its position through an alliance with the Tang dynasty of China, it faces resistance from the neighboring kingdoms of Baekje and Goguryeo. The film centers on the conflict between the Shilla general Kim Yu-sin and the Baekje general Gyebaek, culminating in the Battle of Hwangsanbul. The film is noted for its comedic portrayal of military strategy and the political maneuvering of the era.
