Hunter With A Scalpel (Korean: 메스를 든 사냥꾼; RR: Mesureul Deun Sanyangkkun) is a South Korean crime thriller television series. The drama premiered on June 16, 2025, and concluded its 16-episode run on July 10, 2025. It was released through the streaming platforms U+mobiletv and Disney+.
Plot
The series centers on Seo Se-Hyeon (played by Park Ju-Hyun), a brilliant forensic pathologist. Her life takes a dark turn when, during a routine examination of a corpse, she uncovers evidence linking her own father, Yoon Jo-Kyun (played by Park Yong-Woo), to a series of murders. Driven by a sense of duty and personal conflict, she teams up with Jung Jung-Hyun (played by Kang Hoon), the chief of a violent crimes unit, to track down her father and bring him to justice.
Production
The drama is based on the novel Mesureul Deun Sanyangkkun, written by Choi Yi-Do and published on November 13, 2023, by Happy Books To You. The television adaptation was directed by Lee Jeong-Hun, with a screenplay developed by a team including Choi Yi-Do, Jo Han-Young, Park Han-Shin, Hong-Young-Yi, and Jin Se-Hyeok.
