House of the Disappeared (Korean: 시간위의 집; RR: Shiganwiui Jib) is a 2017 South Korean mystery-thriller film directed by Lim Dae-Woong. The film explores themes of memory, tragedy, and the supernatural, centered on a woman who returns to the site of a traumatic event after decades of imprisonment.

Plot

The narrative follows Mi-Hee (played by Kim Yunjin), an ordinary housewife who lived with her husband, Chul-Joong (Jo Jae-Yun), and their son. Twenty-five years prior to the film's main timeline, a series of mysterious events occurred at their home, resulting in the death of her husband and the disappearance of her son. Mi-Hee was subsequently imprisoned for these events. Upon her release, she returns to the house to confront the past and uncover the truth behind the tragedy.

Production

The film was directed by Lim Dae-Woong, with a screenplay written by Jang Jae-Hyun and Lim Dae-Woong. Principal photography for the project commenced on October 27, 2016, and concluded on December 15, 2016.
