Hotel del Luna
Hotel del Luna (Korean: 호텔 델루나) is a South Korean fantasy television series that aired on the cable network tvN from July 13 to September 1, 2019. The series consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast in the Saturday and Sunday 21:00 time slot. The screenplay was written by the Hong sisters, Hong Jung-Eun and Hong Mi-Ran, and directed by Oh Choong-Hwan.
Plot Synopsis
The story follows Jang Man-Wol (played by IU), the CEO of the titular Hotel del Luna. Located in downtown Seoul, the establishment appears aged and serves a unique clientele: ghosts. Man-Wol is bound to the hotel due to a significant error committed in her past. She is characterized as beautiful but also fickle, suspicious, and greedy.
Koo Chan-Sung (played by Yeo Jin-Goo) is a sincere, perfectionist assistant manager who previously worked at a multinational hotel corporation. Despite his level-headed exterior, he possesses a soft disposition. Following an unexpected series of events, he is compelled to become the manager of Hotel del Luna, where he must interact with the hotel's spectral guests.
Production and Broadcast
The series occupied the tvN Saturday and Sunday 21:00 time slot, succeeding Arthdal Chronicles. Following the conclusion of Hotel del Luna, the time slot returned to Arthdal Chronicles on September 7, 2019. The production featured various guest appearances, including a cameo by actor Lee Joon-Gi.
