Hongbune Baktejeotne (Korean: 흥부네 박터졌네) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from October 27, 2003, to April 30, 2004. The series, directed by An Pan-Seok and written by Choi Yun-Jeong, consists of 121 episodes and was broadcast in the Monday to Friday 21:50 time slot.

Plot

The story follows Chun-Bo (Jang Yong), a man who loses his home after guaranteeing a friend's debt. Facing homelessness, he seeks refuge with his older brother, Man-Bo (Lee Soon-Jae), with whom he has not been in contact for 30 years. The brothers' relationship is strained by past grievances, specifically regarding their parents' inheritance, which Man-Bo retained entirely.

Man-Bo, a wealthy and frugal property speculator, allows Chun-Bo and his family to move in, though his motives are primarily self-serving, as he intends to use his brother's name for property dealings. The domestic situation becomes increasingly tense as the two families share a household, leading to conflicts between the family members, including the discovery that two friends, Su-Jin (Kim Tae-Hee) and Mi-Ri (Im Ji-Eun), are actually cousins.
