Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (Korean: 갯마을 차차차) is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network tvN from August 28 to October 17, 2021. The series, which consists of 16 episodes, is a romantic comedy-drama set in the fictional seaside village of Gongjin. It is a remake of the 2004 South Korean film Mr. Hong.

Production
The series was directed by Yoo Je-won and written by Shin Ha-eun. The first script reading for the production took place on April 21, 2021, in South Korea. While the story is set in the fictional village of Gongjin, the series was filmed on location in the coastal city of Pohang, South Korea.
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha occupied the Saturday and Sunday 21:00 time slot on tvN, succeeding the series The Devil Judge and preceding Jirisan.
Plot
The narrative follows Yoon Hye-jin (played by Shin Min-a), a pragmatic dentist who decides to move from the city to the seaside village of Gongjin. There, she encounters Hong Du-sik (played by Kim Seon-ho), a man known to the local residents as "Chief Hong." Although officially unemployed, Hong is a versatile and helpful figure in the community who frequently assists the villagers with their daily needs. The story explores the developing relationship between the realist dentist and the enigmatic, community-oriented Hong.
