Ho-Gu's Love

Ho-Gu's Love (Korean: 호구의 사랑; RR: Hogooui Sarang) is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network tvN in 2015. The drama consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Mondays and Tuesdays at 23:00, running from February 9 to March 31, 2015.

Background and Production

The series is based on the webcomic Hogooui Sarang by author Yoo Hyun-Sook, which was serialized on the Daum Webtoon platform from March 16, 2013, to May 10, 2014. Yoo Hyun-Sook is also known for her work on the webcomic Naneun Maeil Geureul Humchyeobonda, which served as the source material for the 2013 drama Flower Boys Next Door. The television adaptation of Ho-Gu's Love was directed by Pyo Min-Soo, with the screenplay written by Yoon Nan-Joong.

During the casting process, the role of Byun Gang-Chul was initially assigned to Park Jung-Min. However, due to a spine injury, he was unable to participate, and the role was subsequently filled by Im Seul-Ong.

Plot

The story centers on Kang Ho-Gu (Choi Woo-Sik), a man who has never experienced a romantic relationship. His life changes when he encounters his first love, Do Do-Hee (Uee), a member of the national swimming team known for her competitive nature and blunt personality. Their reunion leads Ho-Gu into a complex web of romantic entanglements and challenging social dynamics.
