Hit-and-Run Squad (2019 Film)

Hit-and-Run Squad (Korean: 뺑반; RR: Bbaengban) is a 2019 South Korean crime action film directed by Han Jun-Hee. The film centers on a specialized police unit tasked with investigating hit-and-run cases.

Plot

The story follows Eun Shi-Yeon (Kong Hyo-Jin), a police lieutenant who is demoted from the regional investigation unit at the National Police Agency to a specialized hit-and-run investigation team. Within this new unit, she collaborates with Police Constable Seo Min-Jae (Ryu Jun-Yeol) and team leader Woo Sun-Young (Jeon Hye-Jin). The team focuses their efforts on apprehending Jung Jae-Cheol (Cho Jung-Seok), a former Formula One racer turned businessman who is suspected of involvement in criminal activity.

Production

The film was directed by Han Jun-Hee, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Kim Kyung-Chan. Principal photography for the project commenced on March 11, 2018, and concluded on August 11, 2018. The film was distributed by Showbox and released in South Korea on January 30, 2019.
