Hiroo Otaka

Hiroo Otaka (大高洋夫) is a Japanese actor born on June 27, 1959, in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. He holds blood type AB and has maintained an active career spanning multiple decades across Japanese television dramas, theatrical films, and television movies.

Career

Otaka has appeared in numerous television series and feature films since the 1980s. His film credits include appearances in projects such as Keppu Rock (1985), Juliet Game (1989), Akagi the Gambler (1995), Translucent Tree (2004), The Star of Prefecture Government (2006), Shrill Cries of Summer (2008), and Almost Coming, Almost Dying (2017), alongside upcoming roles such as Nameless (2026).

In addition to his film work, Otaka is widely recognized for his extensive television drama portfolio, participating in long-running procedural series, network dramas, and special features.
