High Society (Korean: 상류사회; RR: Sangryusahwe) is a 2018 South Korean drama film written and directed by Byeon Hyeok. The film examines the lives of individuals navigating the complexities of social status, personal ambition, and morality.
Plot
The narrative centers on the interconnected lives of three primary characters. Jang Tae-joon (Park Hae-il) is a university professor who enters the political arena by running for a seat in the National Assembly. His wife, Oh Soo-yeon (Soo-Ae), is an assistant curator at an art gallery. Their aspirations and personal choices are contrasted with the life of the painter Shin Ji-ho (Lee Jin-uk).

The film was produced by Kim Chul-yong, Jang Mi-ae, and Kim Won-guk. Principal photography commenced on November 1, 2017, and concluded on January 22, 2018. The film was distributed by Lotte Entertainment and received its theatrical release in South Korea on August 29, 2018.
