High Society (Korean: 상류사회; RR: Sangryusawhe) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from June 8 to July 28, 2015. The series consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Monday and Tuesday nights at 21:55.

Plot

The story follows Jang Yoon-Ha, the youngest daughter of a wealthy chaebol family. Despite her privileged background, she works a part-time job at a food market, concealing her true identity in an effort to find a partner who values her for who she is rather than her family's wealth.

Production

The series was directed by Choi Hyeong-Hun and written by Ha Myung-Hee. During its development, the project underwent several title changes, including the working titles Chaebolui Ddal (Chaebol's Daughter) and True Romance, before settling on High Society. The first script reading was held on May 7, 2015, at the SBS Production Center in Ilsan, South Korea. The series occupied the Monday and Tuesday 21:55 time slot on SBS, following Heard It Through the Grapevine and preceding Mrs. Cop.
