High Kick! 3: The Short Legs Counterattack is a South Korean sitcom that aired on the MBC network from September 19, 2011, to March 29, 2012. It serves as the third installment in the popular High Kick! series. The series consists of 123 episodes and was produced by Chorok Baem Media under a contract with MBC valued at approximately 8.7 billion Won.

Plot

The story centers on Ahn Nae-Sang, the owner of a special effects company, and his family, which includes his wife, Yoon Yu-Seon, and their children, Jong-Suk and Soo-Jung. Their lives are upended when Nae-Sang's business partner embezzles the company's funds, leaving the family in deep financial distress and pursued by creditors. The narrative follows their attempts to navigate this new, impoverished reality while interacting with their relatives, including Yu-Seon's brothers, Kye-Sang and Ji-Suk. The series is presented through the narration of Lee Juck, a proctologist and friend of Kye-Sang.

Production

Production for the series involved extensive location shooting. The first scene was filmed in New Zealand on August 10, 2011, to capture a winter setting. Domestic filming in South Korea began on August 17, 2011, at a massage parlor in the Gangnam district of Seoul. The series featured various cameo appearances, including actor Kim Beom, who appeared in episode 108, which aired on March 8, 2012.
