Hi-Five (2025 South Korean Film)

Hi-Five (Korean: 하이파이브) is a South Korean fantasy-action film directed by Kang Hyung-Chul. The film, which was released on May 30, 2025, explores the lives of individuals who develop unexpected supernatural powers following organ transplant surgeries.

Plot

The story follows five individuals—Wan-Seo (Lee Jae-In), Ji-Seong (Ahn Jae-Hong), Sun-Nyeo (Ra Mi-Ran), Yak-Sun (Kim Hee-Won), and Ki-Dong (Yoo Ah-In)—who share a common history as organ transplant recipients. After their surgeries, they discover they have acquired unique supernatural abilities. As they become aware of one another, they form a team, though their differing personalities often lead to conflict and chaotic situations. Their path is challenged by Young-Chun (Jin Young), the leader of a pseudo-religious group who also received a transplant and gained powers, and who seeks to become an absolute being.

Production

The production of Hi-Five spanned several years. Principal photography commenced in June 2021 and concluded on November 7, 2021.
