Hello, Me! (South Korean Television Series)

Hello, Me! (Korean: 안녕? 나야!; RR: Annyeong? Naya!) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from February 17 to April 8, 2021. The series consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast in the Wednesday and Thursday 21:30 time slot.

Background and Production

The series is based on the 2011 novel Fantastic Girl by Kim Hye-Jung, which was published by Bilyongso. The production process included a script reading held in September 2020 at the KBS Annex Building in Seoul, South Korea. The drama succeeded Cheat On Me If You Can in its time slot and was followed by Sell Your Haunted House.

Plot

The story follows 37-year-old Ban Ha-Ni, played by Choi Gang-Hee, a single woman working in a temporary position. Her life is characterized by timidity and a lack of confidence. The narrative shifts when she encounters her 17-year-old self, portrayed by Lee Re, who arrives from the past. In contrast to the adult version, the teenage Ban Ha-Ni is optimistic and bright, leading to a journey of self-discovery for the protagonist.
